Our last full day in New York left us buzzing with excitement. In the morning, we toured NBC Studios in Rockefeller Center and had a Q&A with NBC Nightly News Anchor Lester Holt. Holt provided advice to the future journalists in the group and shared fascinating stories from his time working in the news.
The Tour then traveled to the offices of the KIPP Charter School Network to meet with founder and CEO Richard Barth. Our students are so passionate about education reform and the session was an opportunity to learn from a leader making real change in the field.
Our final stop was the 9-11 Memorial and Museum for a powerful tour and discussion at this important historical site.
Tomorrow, we head to Philadelphia to continue our Tour adventures in the City of Brotherly Love!
